Dear Readers,In reference to the recently held "Miss Pakistan World 2006" contest held in Toronto, Canada, we feel that a large segment of Pakistan's population has been utterly ignored and left out. In order to give our beloved mullahs we are running the first ever Sexy Mullah 2006 contest.

I know you are joking around with this post, but it brings up a subject that bothers me.
I think beauty contests are a ridiculous waste of time and are generally harmful to young women's self esteem. I shudder at the thought that one's beauty could be considered more important than one's heart, mind, and soul.
Anyway, I read recently that most Pakistanis were outraged by the Miss Pakistan pageant. Is this true?
I fully comprehend the ideals of a predominately Islamic society; however, I have heard that Pakistan has many brothels. One I read about recently is located very close to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. It is reported that most of the young women there were kidnapped from their villages and farms and/or sold by their impoverished parents. I wouldn't think something like this would occur in Iran, for example, but I could be wrong. Why would the good Pakistani people ignore this problem?
I would rather tolerate ridiculous beauty pageants than filthy whore-houses, but that's just my opinon. What do you think?

VERY tight competition :P keep it up... but seriously these people just really piss me off.... they say all this stuff with GOD and Muslims in it.... and their actions scream the opposite... i dont knw when they will have the sense to like UNDERSTAND that they shouldn't be puppets and think for themselves and the people... anyways that's my 2 cents on this... take care
